In 2017, investments in fixed assets in the amount of 363.3 billion tenge were mastered, physical volume index - 111.7%.
In the structure of investments, the largest volume was directed to industry (61.2%), real estate operations (13.7%), agriculture (2.7%), wholesale and retail trade (3%), health care and social services (2 , 4%), education (1.5%).
Over the past 5 years, investment in the mining industry increased by 1.5 times, in the manufacturing industry decreased by 8.8%. The main source of financing investment in fixed assets in 2017 was the own funds of enterprises (71.4%). The share of budgetary funds was 18.9%, borrowed funds - 3%, bank loans - 6.6%.
In order to implement the fulfillment of the instructions of the Head of State, a Council was created to attract investments and improve the investment climate. The Council includes investors, representatives of business, development institutions and government agencies.
In the region, on the principles of "one window", there is a business service center, which houses consultants for a population service center, an investor service center, the Karaganda branch of KazAgroGarant JSC, an operator for investment subsidies for agricultural producers of the Karaganda region, and FRP Damu JSC.
In order to regulate work with investors, the Procedure for support of investment projects in the Karaganda region has been developed and approved. The procedure provides for the support of investors from the initial stage to bring the launch of the full production.
