The youth of modern Kazakhstan is a fundamentally new generation that will determine the future of our country in the 21st century.
281,406 young people aged 14-28 years live in the region (20.4%). The number of urban youth - 214 543 people. (76.2%), rural - 66 863 people. (23.8%).
In 2018, the total amount of funding for the implementation of the state youth policy amounted to 582.7 million tenge.
The number of events has increased. In 2018, together with youth resource centers, 4826 events were held with the coverage of 243 thousand people.
At the end of 2018, the youth unemployment rate was 4.9% (2017 - 4.9%).
In 2018, 20 903 people were employed, including 1,232 people directed to youth practice.
Within the framework of the project “With a diploma - to the village!” 386 people were employed, “Zhasyl ate” - 1,505 fighters. The share of NEET in the total number of young people aged 15-28 years old was 12.5%, which is higher by 0.1% compared to the same period last year (2017 - 12.4%).
Every year, a long-term project is implemented to support and develop youth entrepreneurship in the countryside. In 2018, as part of the Rural Youth Forum, 10 grants were awarded on projects of young entrepreneurs worth 10 million tenge. Similar projects are being implemented in the regions of the region.
In order to ensure social and legal guarantees for graduates of orphanages and improve their quality of life, a comprehensive plan is being implemented to provide housing for orphans and children without parental care. In 2018, this category allocated 152 apartments or 205.4% of the plan.
In the region, 87 youth NGOs are registered.
The participation of NGOs in the implementation of youth policy is carried out in the form of actions and mass events, conferences, seminars, round tables, and practical and methodological assistance is provided to young people.
