Youth Policy


The youth of modern Kazakhstan is a fundamentally new generation that will determine the future of our country in the 21st century.
291,436 young people aged from 14 to 29 years old live in the region (21.1%). The number of urban youth is 222,122 people. (78.3%), rural - 69314 people. (21.7%).
In 2017, the total amount of funding for the implementation of the state youth policy amounted to 559.8 million tenge.
The number of events held has increased. In 2017, together with youth resource centers, 3 thousand events were held covering 265 thousand people.
At the end of 2017, the youth unemployment rate was 4.9% (2016 - 4.8%).
At the end of 2017, 20,104 young people were employed, including 1,147 people sent to youth practice.
As part of the project “With a diploma - to the village!” In 2017, 151 people were employed. Within the framework of the “Zhassyl Yel” project, 1,270 fighters were employed. In comparison with 2016, the salary increased by 18 thousand tenge and amounted to 60 thousand tenge.
The share of NEET in the total number of youth aged 15-28 years up to 4 square meters. 2017 is 9.5%, which is lower by 4.8% compared to the same period last year (Q4 2016 - 14.3%).
A long-term project for the support and development of youth entrepreneurship in the countryside is implemented annually. In 2017, within the framework of the Rural Youth Forum, 10 grants were awarded for projects of young entrepreneurs in the amount of 3.5 million tenge. Similar projects are being implemented in the regions of the region.
In order to provide social and legal guarantees for graduates of orphanages, improve their quality of life, a Comprehensive Plan is being implemented to provide housing for orphans and children left without parental care. In 2017, 46 apartments were allocated to this category, or 68% of the plan.
86 youth NGOs are registered in the region, while the number of youth and children's public associations is changing. The participation of NGOs in the implementation of youth policy is carried out in the form of holding actions and mass events, conferences, seminars, “round tables”, practical and methodological assistance is provided to young people.
